The Rotary Club of Sampaloc, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Intramuros and in collaboration with the Jose Rizal University β Senior High School Community Development Office, successfully conducted a Vegetable Gardening and Community Service Project at the Jeremiah Community.
This initiative was dedicated to 12 young girl beneficiaries and the staff of Jeremiah 33 Foundation, a shelter for young girls, particularly survivors of sexual abuse. The foundation provides psycho-spiritual counseling, holistic care, and support as the girls journey towards a happy, healthy, and faith-guided life.
Promoting Sustainable Living & Livelihood
Through the establishment of vegetable gardens, the program contributes to No Poverty by enabling access to food and potential livelihood opportunities.
Areas of Focus: Environment, Maternal and Child Health, Community Economic Development
Supporting Vulnerable Populations
Provided basic needs such as food and hygiene supplies.
Extended emotional support to the girls and staff while legal cases are still in progress.
Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
