In the face of crisis, Rotary International District 3810 rose to the occasion, embodying the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self” through a comprehensive relief operation led by District Governor Marymei Rodrigo and First Gentleman Alex Rodrigo, in partnership with the dedicated United Chosen Team and Club Presidents.
The multi-stop relief effort began with a formal turnover of relief goods to the Office of Mayor Isko Moreno, held at the Bulwagan in Manila City Hall. This symbolic gesture signified the Rotary District’s continued commitment to supporting local government efforts in times of need.
From City Hall, the team proceeded to deliver direct assistance to the heart of the communities affected. Their second stop was the HJ Atienza Elementary School evacuation center located in Port Area, Manila, where over 200 displaced families received food packs and essential goods. The sight of grateful families, many of whom had lost their homes or belongings due to the calamity, reaffirmed the mission and purpose of the day.
The final was A. Regidor Elementary School in Sta. Cruz, Manila, where another 250 families were given much-needed supplies and support. Volunteers, Rotarians, and local community leaders worked hand-in-hand to ensure an organized and compassionate distribution, emphasizing dignity and empathy for every recipient.
This relief operation was more than the delivery of good, it was a powerful demonstration of unity, action, and humanity. With every hand that reached out, and every family uplifted, Rotary International District 3810 continues to prove that service knows no bounds, and compassion knows no limits.
Together, we are stronger. Through united efforts and unwavering hearts, we continue to bring help, healing, and hope—one community at a time. 💙🤝🌍
